Movie Book Club

Welcome to Movie Book Club. Every other month we come together to watch a film adaptation of a book at PAM CUT's Tomorrow Theater on SE Division Street in Portland, Oregon.  After the screening, we hang out to talk about the movie together. Some of us read the book before we watch the film. Others don't. Either way, stay to share and listen as we talk about storytelling. How do language and image convey stories differently? What happens when the written word is translated into visuals and sound? What changes? What stays the same? Movie Book Club is open to all. Come if you haven't read the book. Come if you have. Come if you just want to see a movie and eat popcorn. Come for the quiet companionship of a dark movie theater. We'd love to see you there.
